Jan Suraj convener criticized Sudhakar Singh for his outrageous statement.

Patna November 9, 2024: Jan Suraj convener Prashant Kishor criticized RJD MP Sudhakar Singh for his outrageous remarks, which he felt revealed a troubling attitude unbefitting of a public representative.

In a statement to journalists in Kaimur, Kishor argued, “MP’s are elected to serve the public, address their needs, and be their voice— not to use intimidation. Singh’s behavior was less that of an MP and more characteristic of a strongman.”

This came in response to a controversial statement by Sudhakar Singh, who, while campaigning for his brother Ajit Singh in Ramgarh, used unparliamentary language against BJP supporters, referencing the 2020 election.

Jan Suraj convener said his party will provide a political alternative:

Kishor highlighted that Jan Suraj, a month-old political organization, is committed to a campaign based on public engagement and accountability.

Contesting all four seats in the upcoming by-elections on November 13, Jan Suraj aims to offer a fresh political alternative, distancing itself from such intimidation tactics.

Jan Suraj convener has been actively involved in grassroots campaigning, rallying support for Jan Suraj candidate Sushil Singh Kushwaha in Ramgarh.

His statements underscore Jan Suraj’s commitment to public service and its rejection of divisive politics, advocating for a political culture cantered on integrity and responsibility.

Jan Suraj convener criticized Lalu, Nitish and Modi for doing fear-based politics:

Prashant Kishor expressed strong criticism of Bihar’s political landscape, asserting that leaders have become overly reliant on “freebies” and fear-based politics to secure votes.

“Lalu Prasad Yadav And the BJP have long used each other as political foils— Lalu rallying support by warning against the BJP, and the BJP doing the same by invoking fears of Lalu’s influence. This approach thrived because the public felt they had no viable alternative, but Jan Suraj now offers that choice,” Kishor said.

He pointed out that, despite the public giving opportunities to leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there Has been no substantial improvement in people’s lives.

“Basic amenities remain inaccessible for many, and this has led to growing frustration with the status quo. Whether they prefer a government focused on genuine public service or one bogged down by bureaucracy or past issues of jungle raj,” the Jan Suraj convener said.

He suggested that with Jan Suraj, voters now have a chance to break free from these entrenched dynamics and choose leaders committed to real, tangible progress.
