Patna, November 25, 2025: Ahead of the upcoming session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, leaders of the RJD and Congress have clarified their stand and outlined the Grand Alliance strategy.

In a joint meeting, Tejashwi Yadav was unanimously elected leader of the Grand Alliance legislative party.

Grand Alliance to act as constructive opposition:

RJD MLA Bhai Virendra informed that people at street corners are openly discussing that the Grand Alliance received the votes, but the results were rigged.

He said that a time will come when answers must be given.

Regarding the numerical strength for the Assembly session, Bhai Virendra said the opposition is not fighting a battle of numbers, but a battle of principles.

He reiterated that the Grand Alliance will not back down from raising public issues, irrespective of who forms the government.

Congress leader Sameer Kumar Singh said that all constituent parties have agreed to work together and that the Grand Alliance would play the role of a constructive opposition.

He added that the issues highlighted in Tejashwi Yadav’s manifesto, particularly unemployment and other public concerns, will be raised strongly, both on the streets and inside the house.

Singh, citing various survey reports, said that Nitish Kumar was expected to receive fewer votes while Tejashwi Yadav was projected to gain more, but the results were altered through management by the poll body and the administration.

He urged party workers to stay united and not lose hope.

Rumours of Congress split rejected:

Dispelling speculation of Congress MLA shifting camps, Sameer Kumar Singh clarified that some MLAs had gone to Delhi at the party’s request. Two have returned, and four are still there.

He said the MLAs are not defecting, asserting that the Grand Alliance remains completely united.

He even offered to facilitate a meeting with MLA Habibur Rahman in front of the media to prove that reports of a split were baseless.

Sameer Kumar Singh demanded strict monitoring of the NDA government’s promises, especially on law and order and employment.

He said if the government fails to deliver, the Grand Alliance will take the fight to the people.
