Case filed against Rahul Gandhi in Muzaffarpur court.
Patna July 2: After a statement made by Rahul Gandhi about Hindus, a man filed a case in the Muzaffarpur court for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Hindu community.
The case was filed by Divyanshu Kishore, and the court has admitted his plea, scheduling the next hearing for July 15.
“Rahul Gandhi has spoken against Hindus in the Lok Sabha and it hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community across the entire country,” Divyabshu Kishore said.
“My client has been hurt by the statement he gave against Hindus in the Parliament. Hence, he filed a case against the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. The court accepted his plea and the next hearing of the case is July 15,” said Sumit Kumar, the lawyer of the complainant.
Rahul Gandhi had remarked in the Lok Sabha that all great men have advocated for non-violence and ending fear, but those who call themselves Hindus only talk about hatred and untruth, claiming such individuals cannot be considered Hindus.
In response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervened, emphasizing that it is inappropriate to label all Hindus as violent, noting that calling the entire Hindu community violent is a serious matter.
