Aishwarya Rai criticized Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi: “Why was my life ruined?”
Patna, May 26, 2025: In the aftermath of RJD National President Lalu Prasad Yadav’s decision to expel his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav from both the party and the family, Tej Pratap’s estranged wife Aishwarya Rai has made sensational allegations against the Yadav family, accusing them of destroying her life knowingly.
Speaking to media persons, Aishwarya Rai questioned the morality and intentions of the family, especially in light of Tej Pratap Yadav’s recent claim on social media that he had been in a 12-year relationship with another woman.
“If Tej Pratap Yadav was in a relationship with another girl for 12 years, why did they marry him to me in 2018? They ruined my life. I cannot believe they were unaware of this affair. Why was I kept in the dark?” Rai asked emotionally.
Aishwarya Rai asked where was Lalu Yadav’s social justice then:
Criticizing Lalu Yadav’s public stand on “social justice” in expelling his son, Aishwarya Rai asked pointedly why that same principle wasn’t applied when she faced alleged mistreatment at the hands of Rabri Devi.
“Lalu Yadav talks about social justice now. But where was it when Rabri Devi misbehaved with me and threw me out of the house? Why didn’t anyone stand up for me then?”
She went on to allege that Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav were all complicit in what she described as her systematic mistreatment.
“They are all involved. Their social justice is just a cover. It’s a political narrative, not a personal value,” She said.
Legal battle ongoing:
When asked about her future course of action, Aishwarya Rai confirmed that her divorce proceedings are still ongoing in court and that she will pursue legal avenues for justice.
“The matter is pending in court. We will take the next legal steps accordingly,” Aishwarya Rai said.
Aishwarya Rai, who is the granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai,
Was married to Tej Pratap Yadav in May 2018 in a high-profile ceremony.
However, the relationship deteriorated rapidly, and within months, Rai alleged domestic abuse and emotional harassment, sparking a legal and media battle that continues to unfold.
With the current controversy surrounding Tej Pratap’s expulsion and revelations of a long-term extramarital relationship, the Yadav family finds itself once again at the centre of public scrutiny.
